Stop and Breathe

Negative and fearful thinking leaves you feeling disheartened. When you sink into a vortex of down energy, everything is colored by it, both mentally and physically. Mental propensities such as conjuring up worst case scenarios, over-concern about others’ opinions of you, ruminating over (perceived) wrongs committed against you are all habits that negatively affect your overall well-being. Next time you notice you’re in a bit of a funk, ask yourself if you’ve slipped into one of these self-destructive grooves. If so, stop, focus on your breath and apologize to yourself.
