Stop Being Mean to Yourself


If you think someone else’s behavior is the cause of your unhappiness, remember that they’re here to live life their way, not your way. If their behavior feels bad to you or doesn’t meet your expectations, don’t take it personally. Their preferences just aren’t in alignment with yours. Understanding this not only enables you to release the tension that blame causes, it empowers you to stop using others to justify perturbing yourself.
