The Seasons of Life

The yearly progression of the seasons is an excellent metaphor for life. As a baby, you gestate (winter), are born and grow during youth, adolescence and young adulthood (spring). You are active and productive during adulthood, career and family rearing (summer). During retirement and old age, you begin to fade (fall).  Finally you are gone (winter). Most problems observe the same cycle: actions result in fertilization of issues (winter), problems appear in your life (spring), you wrangle with them (summer), they begin to fade away (fall). They eventually disappear (winter). Lesson? Be present…

Nothing lasts forever.
