Defensive?
It’s difficult to hear that what we’ve said or did felt bad to someone we care about. Being informed that our behavior has caused hurt, sometimes feels like an unjust accusation. It is in these moments that it’s especially important not to be defensive. We have to override our ego’s desire to resist anything that resembles blame and instead recognize the effect it had on our loved one. When we address their concerns and simultaneously avoid feeling that we are ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’, it increases harmony and…
Builds trust.
