Although desire is often perceived as a hindrance to spiritual development, it’s actually an essential component in the evolution of your consciousness. It isn’t really desire that creates problems, but rather attachment to a particular result. Strong desires are often accompanied by the fear that you won’t get what you want, which creates an energy that actually opposes your desire. When you feel the joy of already having what you desire, while simultaneously letting go of attachment to it, you shed the fear energy and align yourself with what you seek.
