Don’t Confuse the Actor With the Act

When someone acts unkindlyremember that they are not their actions. They’ve just momentarily forgotten that they are a glorious, limitless being and may be coming from fear. Understanding this not only helps you avoid blaming them, it prevents you from taking what they do personally and enables you to discuss the situation without a charge. Then, if moved, you can compassionately let them know how their behavior feels to you. When you’re less offended, your interaction will be less offensive. When there’s no attack…

They’ll be more open to listening.
