On Good and Bad

One day a farmer’s horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, the townspeople lamented, “Such bad luck.” The farmer replied, “Maybe!” Two days later, the horse returned bringing three wild horses, “What great fortune!” the neighbors exclaimed. “Maybe,” said the farmer. The following day his son was thrown from one of the horses and broke his leg. The farmer’s response to their condolences was, “We’ll see.” A week later, military officials came to draft young men into the army. Seeing the son’s leg was broken, they passed him by. The moral of the story…

Don’t trip.
