Fear vs. Trust

We all want life to go the way we think it should. When it doesn’t, we feel distressed. The desire to control comes from fear that if we don’t control what happens, life won’t be as enjoyable. Ironically, an overactive need to control makes life far less enjoyable. After all, since we didn’t create most of the world we experience, it’s reasonable to assume that it may actually be fine without our direction.
